ETERNAL WARFRONT // GLOSSARY
Terms, abbreviations, unit roles, rules modules, and EW-specific mechanics.
A [TOP]
AIRBORNE DROP
A deployment mechanic where a vehicle is dropped at a chosen point, then scatters based on dice. Typically uses d6 for distance and d4 for direction.
B [TOP]
BRIKWARS
The tabletop combat system Eternal Warfront is based on. EW modifies scale, movement distances, and unit organization while preserving core mechanics such as dice-based combat and Use Ratings.
E [TOP]
EXP. (Explosive)
Exp. indicates that a weapon fires explosive ammunition. On a successful hit, explosive rounds affect the target and nearby units within the blast radius.
Explosive weapons are effective against grouped units, light vehicles, and cover, but may also endanger friendly units near the impact point. See BrikWars rulebook for more information.
S [TOP]
SLOW (Reloading)
Slow indicates that a weapon or system requires a full turn to reload or cycle after firing before it may be used again.
Rule: A weapon with SLOW cannot be fired on consecutive turns. After firing, it is considered reloading and becomes available again on the following turn.
Common Examples:
• Artillery guns
• Large-caliber cannons
• Heavy anti-armor weapons
Note: Slow applies to the weapon, not the unit operating it. Crew abilities or special rules may reduce or bypass reload time. For more information about this game mechanic please consult the BrikWars rulebook.
U [TOP]
USE or USR RATING
Use Rating represents how difficult a weapon, system, or ability is to operate. It defines the minimum dice roll required to successfully use that item. Lower values indicate better training or simpler equipment.
Example:
A weapon with USE 3 requires a roll of 3 or higher on a d6 to operate successfully.
Note: Use Rating applies to weapons, vehicles, and special abilities. Modifiers, crew skill, or scenario effects may adjust the effective Use Rating. For more information about this game mechanic please consult the BrikWars rulebook.
